Over a 21-game sample of contests tracked by Statcast on opening weekend, there were 47 instances of exit velocities reaching at least 110 mph. There were 40 different players who hit a ball 110+ in 2024. In the entire 2024 major league season, only 165 players achieved the same feat.  Tap below to read the report from Baseball America.
