LAUREL – The biggest faux controversy of this season’s NCAA super regionals resides 28 miles from Pete Taylor Park. And it has nothing to do with college baseball. It’s the chain restaurant Applebee’s, which boasts more than 1,500 locations nationwide but none in Hattiesburg, where Southern Miss began a best-of-three games series against Tennessee on Saturday.
